Privacy Policy
Last updated September 24, 2026
WOUT is operated by Nav Collective LLC (“WOUT”, “we”). This policy covers the WOUT iOS and Android apps and this website. We collect as little as we can, we never sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
You can use WOUT without an account
Browsing the feed, the map and search needs no account. Your language, area, interests, saved items, optional name and report drafts are stored only on your phone and never sent to us.
What we collect
- Email address, if you create an account, so we can send you a sign-in code. It is never shown to other people.
- Reports you choose to publish: the category and state (for example “road blocked”), an optional short note, the area, the time you observed it and, only if you add one, the point on the map where it is happening. Published reports are public but are never shown with your name or email.
- Your responses to other reports (confirm, not here, dispute), and any posts you report or people you block. These are private and are never shown to others.
- Location. If you allow it, the app uses your location while it is open to show what is nearby. Your location is processed on your phone and is not sent to us or stored, except the map point you deliberately attach to a report. WOUT never uses background location.
- Sign-ups on this website: the email address or WhatsApp number you enter, and your name and area if you give them. We use them only to send you the link to open your WOUT account.
- Technical data: our hosting providers keep standard server logs (such as IP address and request time) for security and reliability.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that run WOUT for us, under their own privacy and security terms:
- Supabase: accounts, sign-in email and the reports database.
- Vercel and Neon: this website and its sign-up database.
- OpenFreeMap: map tiles. Your device requests tiles directly, so the tile server sees your IP address.
- An email delivery provider, only to send your sign-in code.
Business listings come from the public Overture Maps dataset and contain no personal information about WOUT users. We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect people from harm.
How long we keep it
Reports stop appearing publicly when they expire (between one and six hours depending on the category). We keep your account, reports and responses until you delete your account. Website sign-ups are kept until your account is open, or until you ask us to delete them.
Delete your account
In the app, open You → Account → Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, every report you published and your responses to other reports. You can also ask us to delete it: email support@getwout.app or message us on WhatsApp from the email on your account. Information stored only on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To do so, email support@getwout.app or message us on WhatsApp.
Children
WOUT is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in sessions are stored in your phone’s secure storage. Access to our databases is restricted and every public read is limited to information that is safe to publish.
Changes
If this policy changes in a meaningful way we will update the date above and tell you in the app.
